Yzterfontein

Yzterfontein is only 70 Km north of Blouberg Strand. It is a beautiful little village and is ideal for the city sleeker to relax for a weekend out. There are two or three shops in Yzertfontein to buy the necessary, some ATMs, restaurants, takes aways, liquor stores, and attorney and lots of estate agents. There are no schools on Yzterfontein but Darling is only about 40Km from Yzterfontein. Most of the town's children go attend school in Darling. As usual there are numerous guest houses, B&B and self catering accommodation. Yzterfontein also has its own caravan park and camping area with camping sites next to the beach. There is also a laundromat and video shop.

Just out of town is a 4x4 route, hiking trail and the Khwa Ttu San Culture and Education Centre.
