Vredenburg & Paternoster e-Community e-Centres- E-power to the People

Cape Access creates an information society amongst citizens who are poor, unemployed and in need of help. It enables any individual to create, access, utilize and share information and knowledge and to empower individuals and communities to achieve their full potential.

The goal of the Cape Access project is to provide computers with internet access in public libraries, schools, multi-purpose centers and other access points for use by anyone who needs it. Usage will be free of charge, but time limited on a daily basis. Users will be able to use emails and will be assisted to set up theire own email address and mailbox.... Terminally ill, post-operative people and the aged will be amongst those taken care of, look at the following:
”STEPDOWN” means people who need care after operations or who had strokes and people with injuries who need to adapt to their new circumstances.
Children can leave their disabled, elderly parents for a period whilst taking a well deserved break, we understand the difficulties of caring for the aged...
”CHRONIC” means people with illnesses like cancer, or the aged who need constant TLC (tender loving care) and will stay for long periods.
