26-29 Augustus Hopefield Fynbos Skou – Ervaar die platteland met sy mooiste baadjie aan. Blomtoere met ‘n trekker en wa, sien spesies van Renosterveld, Sandveld, Rietveld en Vleiland. Daar is ‘n pretpark en plaaswerf vir die kinders. Kontak Johan op 082-769-8825 vir meer besonderhede.
28 Aug – 2 Sept – Clanwilliam Wildflower Show – This flower fête includes concerts, art and food stalls, and a street carnival. A special botanical division displays all the flowers on show with their botanical, as well as their common names. It is alleged that the greatest variety of wild flowers in one district in the world happen to make their appearance in the area around Clanwilliam. 08h00 to 19h00 daily. 17-20 Sept – Darling Wild Flower Show. The Darling Wildflower Show takes place annually over the third weekend in September at the Darling Club. Opens: Friday 18 September at 09:00. Dates: 18, 19 and 20 September 2009. Venue: The Sports Club in Darling. Entry: R20 per person.
A hall will be landscaped with Darling wildflowers, from the most fragile and rare to the ones easily found. Craft and fun stalls with goodies await you and there will also be a lecture hall with wine tastings, talks and displays of art. Entry fee includes entry to the landscaped hall and the lecture hall.
