Flowers 2009

This is such a beautiful time of the year. It is always nice to see how the flowers start to open in different areas. I will continually add flower information to this page as the season develops.

10 July 2009 – We went on a trip in the Ceder Mountains this week.
(see http://www.africatrips.co.za/cape-town-cederberg-round-trip/ )

The last night we stayed on a farm called EnjoLife which is about 30km north of Wupperthal.

We saw some daisies there that is already open. The owner of the farm, Moritz Conrad says that normally the flowers start flowering on their farm about three weeks before the other areas. Those flower lovers who cannot wait for the flowers to open can pay them a visit.

For more information or to pay them a visit you can get their details at http://www.soulcountry.info

Postberg opened on 1 August for the public. On Sunday 2 August we went there to see if there are any flowers yet.

There are not many flowers open at Postberg yet. I am sure within a week or two from now there will be lots of flowers. There are little patches of white daisies to be found but not mutch.

As usual Plankiesbaai was the perfect spot for lunch. In the koppie at Plankiesbaai are some succulants that is flowering.
