What a week?
Last weekend saw extreme heat wave conditions and a deck load of 8kg Kob caught on chokka down at Spreeuwalle.
Then the electric storm hits the Baan and Eskom power down with freezers half full with Kob..a real panic and then the computers using modems also went dead. But on the fishing front all things are alive…Right throughout the week some good catches of Geelbek were made down on the Line from boats fishing during the night. Also good size Maasbankers showed on that Xmas tree hook setup..and Elf in the 3 kg range showed. In front of the Yacht club good action with Stumps, the odd Kob and even some Elf were made.
The real action however is at Spreeuwalle were Kob were caught.

Conditions for this coming weekend look good and it should be sunny with a light Southerly wind. Low tide this weekend is at 08h30 and time to pump prawn. Make sure you have chokka in the bait box and take care to have fresh bait. Too many times I see anglers using left over bait from the previous trip…don`t waste your time with this.
Well this weekend certainly should see good fishing at the Baan and indeed it should be an option to consider.
Have a great time and fill those freezers as winter is around the corner.
Tight lines and God bless.
