Art Gallery in Langebaan

Bay Gallery is a interesting little Art Gallery in the heart of Langebaan.

It is situated in Mara Square in Bree Street, just left of the ABSA bank

Visitors who would like to take home some real West Coast art must put Bay Gallery on their “MUST VISIT” list.

Most of the art exhibited at Bay Gallery are by our local artist of which many are Langebaan residence

I photographed some of the stunning work today. What I like about Bay Gallery is that they exhibit something of everything. You won’t just see white fisherman’s houses and fishing boats. There is always a large variety of art work on display.

It is very inspiring to visit the gallery and I think every visitor or even resident should visit it at least once a month to see what is new.

Judy Harris – Studied Graphic Art
Merril Meier – Featured on the front cover a Ceramic Magazine. Her work is exquisite, raku and smoke fired ceramics
Gerda Claassen – Was a Civil Engineer but concentrates on her art now
Patrick – He is from Cape Town and loves to work in 3D
Elzette Welgemoed – She always places a hen in her work. She is known for her Fun Café scenes.
Judy de Gersigny – Does Pewter portraits and also gives Pewter Classes
